Dandelion Coffee - Liver Detox

Dandelion root coffee (as opposed to Dandelion leaf tea) is invaluable for supporting the Liver because it is very good at stimulating the production of bile, the substance which carries toxins out of the Liver.

Caution
Don't buy dandelion coffee in a jar because it contains Lactose. Instead, buy roasted Dandelion root in a pack

How to make Dandelion Coffee
For best effect, it should be drunk 15 minutes before a meal, but it makes a pleasant and helpful drink at absolutely any time of day
If you have any coffee-making equipment, grind the root pieces and then make in the same way as 'proper' coffee, using a filter jug, percolator, etc.
(Don't make like instant coffee by just adding boiling water.)

If you don't have coffee-making equipment, simply place 2 heaped teaspoonfuls of the root pieces into a saucepan with about 9 cups of water (weaker or stronger as preferred), bring to the boil and simmer for 15 minutes.

Heat a cupful whenever you feel like a drink; it is really very pleasant and can be extremely helpful for the Liver.
Many people find it convenient to pour a day's supply into a Thermos flask so that it is always hot and easy to carry around
